Nutmeg also called jaiphal is a spice made from the seed . It is commonly looks like   as betel nut. Nutmeg is also found important spice in garam masala . If there is something without which Indian cuisine is incomplete, then it must be a flavor, aromatic and spicy touch of garam masala. which is a regular spice of every Indian kitchen. It’s pacify vata and kapha ,also ignite the Pitta because of its hot potency.


Uses and benefits of nutmeg :- It generally found in two forms oil and powdered .
1. It helps in digestion , which helps keep the digestive system active as ignite the digestive fire. . Adding a pinch of nutmeg to your curries, soups  can improve your digestion.
2. Nutmeg also act as a pain reliever, make a paste with  nutmeg powder and water/milk and apply on your forehead or painful area . This can help in relieving the pain.
3. Insomnia.:  Drinking a glass full of milk with a dash of nutmeg can help in improving sleep conditions.
4. It has strong antibacterial properties that help boost the immune system and treats common cold, cough and asthma. it also helps in drying the cough/congestion present in our body . 
5. Nutmeg is very effective for water retention tendency in our body. It also helps in preventing blood sugar from spiking .
6. Nutmeg also helps in treating UTI problem .
7. Nutmeg is effective for intestinal worm in kids.
8. Nutmeg will help reducing acne and pimple, rub a small amount of nutmeg mix it with milk and apply it to your acne .
            

Limitations:   Nutmeg is safe in small quantities, you should not exceed 1 to 2mg a day. You can use a very small amount of nutmeg in kids food to avoid cold cough and congestion.
